The goal of Los Altos United Methodist Preschool is to produce happy, intelligent, well-adjusted children. Here you will find a nurturing, educational environment for children of ages 2 to 6 years. We have four age appropriate classrooms consisting of a 2 year old room, a 3 year old room and two pre-k classrooms.
We feel that children learn by making choices and seeing the results of their actions. The most meaningful curriculum will be one that actually emerges from the child’s interest. We will emphasize verbal interaction between the children and the staff.
We believe in providing a loving, caring, enriching place for children. We are a developmental center striving to guide your child’s growth by presenting a curriculum of age appropriate experiences and activities. Our program is designed to tap the creative and intellectual potential of your child. We aim to provide the right balance of energetic and quiet activities during the course of your child’s day. Primarily, we are concerned with providing your child experiences in group socialization within the context of nurturing self-esteem and individual growth.
We recognize that each child has unique talents, learning styles and personalities. Our highly-qualified teachers and staff are committed to working within each child's comfort zone to ensure optimal social, emotional and educational results.
Classes are kept to a low student-teacher ratio and often fill up quickly.
