Our goal at Los Altos United Methodist Preschool is to provide children with a positive, fulfilling preschool experience while preparing children academically, socially, physically, spiritually, and emotionally for the years that lie ahead.

We strive to accomplish this goal in the caring, nurturing setting of a Christian community where the children are affirmed as the precious, valued children of a loving God. We have four classrooms with highly-qualified teachers and staff who are committed to providing your child with the tools and skills they will need as they grow and develop.

We believe in a caring and enriching place for children. Our program is designed to tap the creative and intellectual potential of your child by presenting a curriculum of age-appropriate experiences and activities. We aim to provide a balance of energetic and quiet activities during the course of your child's day. Primarily, we are concerned with providing your child experiences in group socialization within the context of nurturing self-esteem and individual growth.

We believe that our families' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire staff is committed to meeting these needs. As a result, a high percentage of our enrollment is returning families and referrals. We encourage communication between families and staff as well as between children and staff to ensure we are partners with families in meeting a child's individual needs.

Classes are kept to a low teacher-student ratio and often fill up quickly.
